Background of the Study
Political corruption is a significant barrier to the protection and promotion of human rights in many parts of the world, including Nigeria. In Plateau State, political corruption has been linked to widespread mismanagement of public resources, lack of accountability, and the failure to deliver essential services to citizens. This corruption undermines the ability of the government to protect citizens’ rights, including the right to education, healthcare, and security.
In Jos South, Plateau State, citizens have long struggled with the effects of political corruption, which has contributed to poor governance and inadequate provision of basic services.
